There are two sections in the RSMSSB Lab Assistant Exam: General Knowledge and General Science.
- The General Knowledge paper consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
- The General Science paper consists of 200 questions for 200 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 3 hours for both the papers and there will be a negative marking of ⅓ marks.
